DoorDash Calorie Counter shows estimated calorie counts on menu items while you browse DoorDash.
To generate calorie estimates, the extension sends the names and descriptions of menu items visible on the DoorDash page you are viewing to our estimation service (hosted at ddcal-proxy.fly.dev), which forwards them to OpenAI's API. No account information, personal details, order history, or payment data is read or transmitted.
If you choose to add your own OpenAI API key in the extension popup, menu item names and descriptions are sent directly to OpenAI instead, and your key is stored in Chrome's extension storage on your own devices.
Calorie results are cached locally in your browser. Our estimation service does not store menu item text, does not log request contents, and keeps no user accounts. Client IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting only.
Menu item text is shared with OpenAI solely to generate calorie estimates. We do not sell or transfer any data to other third parties.
